This is a work of fiction. A work that travels into territories few books have gone before. Into the mind and life of a man suffering from schizophrenia. Such men and women are everywhere. But they are not heard. Their stories are told by people who are normal and have not gone through the trials and travails of the illness. This story is written by someone who has gone through all of it. It traces the illness and recovery of a young man who was caught on a hook by this deadly disease. Schizophrenia is an often misunderstood illness. This story is not a comprehensive take on the illness. Every patient has their own unique perspective. But few things are common. I hope this story can shed light on the hardships, misunderstanding, efforts, and recovery from this illness. But it does not speak for all patients.
